[rant] juniors teaching juniors

this week i got asigned to teach a new junior programmer, the issue is... i'm a junior myself: i've only been working there for exactly a year, when i finished studying, and i didn't really understand why they chose me to teach someone.

now, don't get me wrong, i love teaching people. if i get burnt out from being a developer, i wouldn't mind being a teacher in the same area... but i think i'm not experienced enough to teach anyone right now.\

at start i thought it was my impostor syndrome kicking in, but i started to watch a theprimeagen steam talking about... some article, casual prime, and he started talking about how if you are a junior, you shouldn't do this because of the lack of experience you have, you might even end up doing the opposite effect and confuse the person even more.\

my first impressions are that my seniors are too busy, but i'm not too sure... but anyways, i just don't find myself capable enough to actually teach anyone programming... the girl also looked extremely confused with a lot of the new programming terms she never heard about, also got really confused about logic, so i had to really dumb things down and that's when i realized that i really don't know how to explain programming lol.\

idk, might just be my impostor syndrome, but imo juniors shouldn't teach newer juniors.
